Do you always have you TV tuned into to a cooking a show whether it be Hell’s Kitchen, Top Chef, Down Home with the Neely’s, Iron Chef or any of the others? If you enjoy the act of cooking or watching others cook then we’re sure you’ll love watching a culinary competition. On September 25, 2011 the Houston are regional Chefs Under Fire competition will take place at Rice University.

The competition brings together the best chefs and culinary students in Texas for a heated battle in the kitchen. Each chef will have to impress judges by preparing a complete dish using a set of secret ingredients which will be announced live the day of the competition under time restraints, while sharing the kitchen with the other contestants, and under the watchful eye of the audience. The winner of the Houston regional will head to the final competition in which he or she will compete for the title of Chefs Under Fire 2011 Champion and a grand prize trip to Los Cabos.
